Without NRA Certified Range Safety Officers, Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range would not exist! We are the only NRA Range in Southern Utah, and why is that important? Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts must use an NRA Range for all of their firearm events such as Merit Badges. Being an NRA Range has helped us qualify for some grants from the Local Friends of the NRA. And it makes our range Safe!

So if you want to become a real help for Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range, ask about volunteering as a Range Safety Officer. Just two days a month, four to five hours each day supervising the firing line and you get all of the benefits of an Annual Member, while the Membership fee is waived.

If only we had 80 instead of 40 active RSOs, what a difference that would make in Range operations. We could be open more days, and evenings, making use of our lighting. And we would not have to constantly worry about someone becoming ill or going on vacation, resulting in the closure of the Range.
